Weekly Sports Review

10th to 16th December

This week there are two world tours drawing their respective seasons to a close. Guangzhou in China will host the Badminton World Tour Finals from Wednesday, while in Table Tennis it will be Incheon in South Korea hosting the World Tour Finals from Thursday. The International Military Sports Council also have their last tournament for 2018 in Nancy, France. This will be the 46th edition of the Fencing CISM World Championships. The same can be said for the Aquatics season with the 14th FINA World Swimming Championships starting on Tuesday in Hangzhou and closing on Sunday with the "Night of the Stars" World Aquatics Gala. We have no fewer than eight International Ski Federation World Cup tournaments this week, while elsewhere in snow sports Austria will host the next round of the Biathlon World Cup. Bobsleigh and Skeleton will feature in the USA and Germany. The final of the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup will feature on Sunday with Australia so far looking as the favourite to take the title. In surfing the final World Surf League professional tournament still has nearly two weeks to completion, while from Wednesday the International Surfing Association presents the World Adaptive Surfing Championships in La Jolla.

The Ice Climbing season starts in Moscow on Friday, including the first FIA Formula E race in Ad Diriyah in Saudi Arabia. In Darts the main event of the season will feature in London from Thursday. As always, we will be back with another complete listing of international world cup, world tour and world championship events to look forward to.
