It will be an all-European final in the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2018 with Belgium taking on the Netherlands. The match will be played later today in Bhubaneswar, India. Third place will be decided between Australia and England preceding the final. In the Badminton Tour Finals Pusarla V Sindhu became the first Indian women to take the season finale, while Shi Yuqi of China took the men's title from the more fancied world champion Kento Momota. History was made in Incheon as Tomokazu Harimoto of Japan became the youngest-ever singles champion in the International Table Tennis Tour Finals. Harimoto is only fifteen years old. In Surfing the final day of the Stance ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship will produce twelve individual gold medalists, including a team world champion.

Winter sports take centre stage this week with FIS World Cup events in Alpine, Freestyle, Snowboard and Nordic Combined. The main event is the Para Ski World Cup in Sella Nevea, Italy from Monday to Saturday. Tournaments finishing this week are the BISFed 2018 Dubai Boccia World Open, the World Military Fencing Championships 2018, the Men's 9-Ball World Championship 2018, and the World Surf League Billabong Pipe Masters.
