With more than a week scheduled before a winner will be named at the International Chess Federation World Championship Match 2023 held in Astana, Kazakhstan, Ian Nepomniachtchi still holds the lead 5:4 over Ding Liren. Game nine ended in a draw and lasted for six hours, the longest in the tournament so far.
