On Tuesday Sevilla in Spain begins the Billie Jean King Cup Finals 2023. The best pool-billiard experts gather in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the 2023 World Teams Championship.
Dance Sports continue in Skopje with the IDO World Latin Style Championships beginning on Wednesday. Malta's popular resort location St. Julian's brings together scrabble experts at the 8th Seniors World Championship. As we are easing into the winter season, we have a major Men's Downhill competition in Zermatt, Switzerland, at the FIS Alpine World Cup. USA's National XBall League, a major governing body for paintballing, presents the World Cup of Paintball in Kissimmee, Florida. Cauipe Lagoon in the State of Ceará on Brazil's northeast coastline, hosts the Global Kitesports Association Freestyle World Cup over four days.
We begin Thursday in China. Shanghai hosts the Inline Freestyle World Championships 2023, while Jingmen, in the Hubei province. gathers many of the best paragliders at the Fixed-Point World Cup Finals. Slovenia's Laško is the second venue of the International Dance Organization. On this occasion we have the World Performing Arts Improvisation Cup. Forming part of the carom billiards family, Austria's Tirol hosts the World Championship 5 Pins for National Teams and Ladies Individual. The big show jumping competition for this week takes us to Italy at the Jumping Verona 2023. Seniors compete at several FIE Fencing World Cup competitions. Algeria's capital city Algiers hosts both women and men with sabre as the weapon type. The 37th edition of the FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships will head to England's Birmingham.
The Professional Windsurfers Association begins the weekend in Yokosuka, Japan, for the PWA World Cup. We remain in Japan's Obihiro, a city on the island of Hokkaido, where the best speed skaters compete at the ISU World Cup Speed Skating. The FIA World Rallycross Championship completes the season in Hong Kong with two rounds. Only three race weekends remain of the FIM MotoGP World Championship. The Grand Prix of Malaysia opens on Friday at the Sepang International Circuit. The International University Sports Federation presents the final major competition of the year. Doha will host the World Cup 3x3 Basketball. Armenia's capital Yerevan brings together the best of the popular combat sport sambo. The World Sambo Championships feature both women and men in the discipline combat sambo. We have a further three FIE Fencing World Cup competitions for seniors over the weekend. Foil is the weapon type for men in Istanbul, while épée features in Italy's Legnano for women, and Switzerland's Bern for men. Portugal's Paredes opens the International Blind Sports Federation Blind Games 2023. We then move across the Atlantic to São Paulo for the World Deaf Futsal Championships. We remain on the continent where Bolivia's Tarija hosts the XXXIV Racquetball World Junior Championships.
Christchurch in New Zealand begins Saturday with the shorter format of netball. The Fast5 Netball World Series completes over the weekend. The second roller sports competition in Shanghai is the Skate Cross World Championship. We remain in China where Lishui hosts the next Draughts Open World Cup. Kurash is a wrestling style practiced in Central Asia. Uzbekistan's Tashkent hosts the World Series Pro Finals. Slalom is the discipline in Levi, Finland, at the FIS Women's Alpine World Cup. The World Dance Council presents the World Championship Professional Latin in Assen, Netherlands. The commune of Mouilleron-le-Captif in western France completes the final round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship. It is a big week for dance sports. The World DanceSport Federation presents Latin in Spain's Calvià, while Portugal's Vila Nova de Famalicão features the best at Ten Dance. Big Game Fishing experts head to Dakar in Senegal for the World Championships. The coastal resort city of Viña del Mar in Chile hosts the next stage of the World Triathlon Cup. Two Dryland Sled Dog World Cup races feature over the weekend. These are in Minocqua, Wisconsin, and in Flagstaff, Arizona. The last major event that begins on Saturday takes us to the Mexican city of Hermosillo. The XIV U18 Men's Softball World Cup runs until the following Sunday.
Indonesia's Palangka Raya opens Sunday with the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships. Latin is again the discipline in Armenia's Yerevan at the WDSF World Championship for Youth. Rock 'n' Roll completes all the dance sport competitions with the WRRC World Cup also in Yerevan. Turin hosts the NITTO ATP Finals, the second major tennis event of the week. Italy's Montesilvano, located on the Adriatic Coast, brings the brightest young chess experts together at the World Youth U14, U16, U18 Championships. We complete Sunday with the third round of the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup in Belgium's Dendermonde.
