Welcome to another week and with no major events beginning on Monday, we jump straight to Tuesday and head to the Sibuyan Sea in the Philippines where the World Underwater Federation presents the CMAS World Cup Depth Series - Philippines Freediving 2024. We then come all the way to Germany's Herne where bowling takes centre stage at the World Ninepin Bowling Association World Championships

Kickboxing experts spend the rest of the week in Istanbul competing in the Turkish Open WAKO World Cup

Thursday begins in Australia's Cairns where the Masters feature in the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. Our second major Freediving World Cup competition brings us back to the popular Egyptian resort of Sharm El-Sheikh. On this occasion the International Association for the Development of Apnea are the organisers. Lithuania's Kaunas brings European university students together for the SELL Games 2024. Round 3 of the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup spends four days in Maniago in the northwest of Italy. The Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, takes centre stage as we approach the second Golf Major of the year. USA's Brooks Koepka is the defending champion of the PGA Championships.

Go is a boardgame and is also one of the five major Mind Sports. Friday is the start of the 44th World Amateur Go Championships in Tokyo. Located north of Tokyo, the town of Motegi opens the season of the FIM TrialGP World Championship. The next major International School Sport Federation contest is football and we cross to China's modern port city of Dalian, originally founded by the Russians in 1898. This week there are three FIE Senior Fencing World Cup competitions. These feature in UAE's Fujairah, Bulgaria's Plovdiv, and Spain's Madrid. After the recent visit to Italy, the UCI Mountain World Cup Tour moves to Poland's Bielsko-Biala. Air hockey fans will be in Prague to watch the experts compete in the Majaland World Championship. Target Sprint is the discipline at the next International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup in Italy's Ora. The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy is the race track to showcase the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Formula One's next round. It will be the 12th edition of the Lifesaving World Military Championship and Montpellier has been chosen to bring the best athletes together. Two events feature in Portugal. The Blind Games will be hosted in Gaia, while Acrobatics is the discipline in Maia at the next International Gymnastics Federation World Cup.

Uzbekistan's Samarkand hosts the World Triathlon Cup and Para-Cup on Saturday. The big World Sailing event features in Gmunden in Austria. We move to Round 3 of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Germany's Landshut. Two full Ironman races feature over the weekend. The first is in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. We remain with triathlons where Mexico's Huatulco hosts the second World Triathlon Cup over two days.

The UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup Tour moves to the city of Palangkaraya in Indonesia on Sunday. The biggest judo competition of the season takes us to Abu Dhabi. The IJF Senior World Championships for Individuals and Mixed Teams feature until the following Friday. France's Saint-Jean-d'Angély is the next stop of the FIM Motocross World Championship. Barcelona's famous race track hosts the FIM JuniorGP World Championship. We close Sunday with the second full Ironman race in Brazil's Florianópolis.
