Welcome to another week and we skip straight to the vibrant city of São Paulo, a popular location for a wide variety of major sports events. Tuesday begins with the 2024 World Boccia Cup until the following Friday. 

Poland's Ostróda opens the orienteering season for mountain bikers. The CX80 World Cup in MTB Orienteering also includes the European Championship. San Carlos in Costa Rica joins the events on Wednesday with the International University Sport Federation Cycling Championships. We then move across to California's popular Long Beach for the World International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

The big World Military Championship of the week spends nine days in South Korea's Mungyeong to compete in the 27th WMC Taekwondo beginning on Thursday. The best table tennis players feature in China's Chongqing in the World Table Tennis Champions 2024. Artistic gymnasts compete in Slovenia's Koper at the FIG World Challenge Cup. Eisenerz, a market place and old mining town in the Austrian state of Styria, becomes the home of the next round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship. Plattling in Germany will host Round 2 of the ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup. The Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania presents the U.S. Women's Open, part of the Ladies Professional Golf Association tour. 

Friday begins in South Korea where the city of Chuncheon entertains roller skating experts in the World Inline Skating Cup. The second major gymnastics competition features in Poland's Rzeszów. Acrobatics is the discipline in the FIG World Cup. We remain in Poland for round 2 of the Motosurf World Championship in Osiek. The International Federation of Muaythai Associations presents the Senior World Championships in Greece's Patras. We then cross the Ionian Sea and head to the Mugello Circuit near Italy's Florence for the next stage of the FIM MotoGP World Championship. Munich becomes the home for Rifle and Pistol experts competing in the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup. Latin and Standard are the dance sport disciplines for seniors in Bremen in the World DanceSport Federation World Championship. The World Rugby Sevens Series comes to a close in Madrid over the weekend. Stop 3 of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup takes us all the way to Canada's Markham.

The world's greatest young minds gather in India's Gandhinagar from Saturday to compete in the FIDE World Junior U20 Championships, the next major chess tournament. Prague is the location for Round 4 of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix. It is also Round 4 of the FIM Sidecar Motocross World Championship in Czechia's Kramolín. The juniors showcase their skills in Germany's Brandenburg at the ICF Canoe Marathon World Cup. Rugby Sevens is the sport at the second World Military Championship of the week in Amsterdam. We then go the port city of Vigo on Spain’s northwest coast where para athletes compete in the World Triathlon Cup. One of the most toughest and considered by many as equally dangerous, the Isle of Man TT Races will be undergoing qualifying this week before the racing starts on Saturday. The penultimate round of the FIA/FIM Rally-Raid World Championship heads to Argentina for a gruelling race covering almost the entire length of the country.

Sunday's big IAU ultra marathon race is in Kranj, Slovenia. The MXGP of Germany in Teutschenthal is Round 8 of the FIM Motocross World Championship. After Türkiye, the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup moves across to Belgium where Leuven will host the next stage of the season. Finally, we close with the biggest competition in T20 cricket. Jointly hosted by the members of the West Indies and with USA, the ICC Men's T20 World Cup begins on Sunday until 29 June.
