Our week begins in China's Dongguan where the best women's snooker players gather for the World Women's Snooker Championship. The prestigious tournament will be held in China for the first time, with Thailand’s Siripaporn Nuanthakhamjan set to defend the title that she won for the first time 12 months ago in Bangkok. Divisional ice hockey competitions continue this week in Zagreb in the IIHF Women's World Championship Division III, Group A

From Tuesday Slovenia's alpine resort of Kranjska Gora is the next stop of the FIS Para Alpine World Cup that includes Giant Slalom and Slalom. Drammen in Norway becomes the home for cross-country skiers in an FIS World Cup event. We move much further north to Trondheim for an FIS Ski Jumping World Cup

Telemark experts head to Italy's Livigno on Wednesday where the next round of the FIS Telemark World Cup will be hosted. Tignes is a group of villages that form a high-altitude ski resort in the French Alps, near the Italian border. Freeski Big Air will be on display in the FIS Freestyle World Cup. We go back to Norway where the next generation of ski mountaineering stars gather to compete in the ISMF Youth World Cup. Senior trampoline experts will be in the Netherland's Alkmaar for an FIG World Cup. Florida's Ocala showcases the next major equestrian event forming part of the FEI North American Jumping League. Prince George in Canada's British Columbia will be hosting several para athletes during the course of the week. Our big competition is the FIS Para Nordic World Cup Final.

Thursday opens is Finland's Espoo where the International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics presents the World Cup I. This forms part of several competitions in the city later in the week. Snowboarders join the Freestylers in Tignes for an FIS Slopestyle World Cup. We then cross to Canmore in Canada's Alberta where the next International Biathlon Union World Cup will take place. Canmore is located just west of Calgary.

From Drammen earlier in the week, the FIS Cross Country World Cup tour moves to Falun in Sweden from Friday. Snowboard Cross is the event in Austria's Montafon, an FIS Snowboard World Cup. Often referred to as a bicycle on skis, the skibobbing season comes to a close with the FISB World Cup Final in Austria's Nassfeld. Nine pin bowling experts will be heading to Germany's Langenfeld where the World Nine Pin Bowling Association present a World Cup event. Switzerland's Neuchâtel brings together the best youth figure skaters as the International Skating Union presents the World Junior Synchronised Skating Championships. We remain in Switzerland as Veyssonaz hosts the FIS Ski Cross World Cup. Norway's Rena becomes the location for three Worldloppet Ski Federation gold-label races. Two feature on Friday and both are over 54km, while the third is on Sunday. Norway also has two further events over the weekend. Trondheim hosts the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup, while Vikersund becomes the location for an FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. A nation with many of the world's best speed skaters, the Netherland's Rotterdam hosts the ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships. Belgium's Sint-Niklaas hosts the only FIE Fencing World Cup for women where sabre is the weapon type. The city of Chalon-sur-Saône in the eastern parts of France completes Friday with the next round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship.

Online qualification begins on Saturday for the FIDE World Corporate Chess Championship. The master tennis stars gather in Antalya, one of Turkey's favourite resort cities, for the ITF World Individual Championships ranging in age groups from 65 to 90. Saalbach in Austria becomes an important location for the FIS Alpine World Cup Final Technical Events that include Giant Slalom and Slalom. Italy's Chiesa In Valmalenco hosts the second major FIS Freestyle World Cup where dual moguls is the main discipline. Lekkarod is a 9-day IFSS World Cup festival for mushers and their teams that will take place near Crest-Voland in southeastern France. Round 4 of the FIA Formula E World Championship spends the weekend in Brazil's São Paulo. Located in Canada's Nova Scotia, Sydney opens the World Women's Curling Championship. We are now at Round 10 of the SuperMotocross World Championship with Indianapolis hosting on Saturday evening.

Spain's Puigcerdà hosts the only major competition on Sunday and the second divisional ice hockey championship of the week. The Under 18s feature in the IIHF World Championship Division II, Group B.
