Welcome to another week of the biggest sport events around the globe. We begin Monday in Jordan's Amman where wrestling is the focus for Under 17s in their World Championship. Joining the freestyle footballers in Liberec, footbag also makes an appearance at the Super Ball 2024 World Open.
Gold Coast in Australia is the perfect location to showcase the 2024 Lifesaving World Championships. We then head to the coastal regions of south-east China where Pingtan becomes the stop of the next Wingfoil Racing World Cup. Germany's Sylt is a favourite for kiteboarding. On this occasion kite-surfing and hydrofoil-big-air are the disciplines in the Global Kitesports Association World Cup. Bordeaux has been selected to display the future stars of real tennis as they contest the World Junior Championships.
Esports fans can look out for Week 8 of the Esports World Cup that begins on Wednesday. Track cycling comes to the industrial city of Luoyang in China's Henan province. The Union Cycliste Internationale presents the Junior Track World Championships. Singapore hosts the 4th edition of the World Tai Chi Championships. Kettlebells are popular exercise equipment in gyms and homes, and kettlebell sport is governed by the International Union of Kettlebell Lifting. The resort town of Cholpon-Ata on the northern shore of lake Issyk Kul in Kyrgyzstan, hosts the World Championship Kettlebell Sport. The first of two World University Championships is Modern Pentathlon in Kaunas, Lithuania. Canoe sports is the second in Portugal's Montemor-o-Velho. Our first World Sailing event is the RC44 Cup / World Championship in Brunnen, Switzerland. The legends of street & ball hockey compete in Canada's Calgary in the ISBHF World Championship.
Thursday begins in China's Guiyang where sport climbers descend on the city for the Youth World Championships. Roller skis replace the traditional snow sport ski as the International Biathlon Union presents the Summer Biathlon World Championships in Estonia's Otepää. Clay pigeon shooting experts converge on Ychoux in southwest France to compete in the 42nd World Championship / Baretta World Cup Final. The famous Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland, becomes the home of the AIG Women's Golf Open. World Obstacle's flagship competition will this year feature in Costa Rica. The OCR World Championships will be held in San Jose. We close our main events of Thursday in Sequatchie, Tennessee, for the next round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship.
Möllky is a sport very similar to kubb or jukskei. From Friday it's Hokadate City in Japan to host the World Championship. The best canoe sprinters will be heading to Uzbekistan's Samarkand to compete in the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. All disciplines are on display in Budapest where the youth gather for the WAKO World Kickboxing Championships. Staying with combat sports, Zadar in Croatia host the World Jiu-Jitsu Cup. The Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort is the next stop of the FIA Formula One World Championship. The International Racquetball Federation presents the biggest competition of their season. The XXII World Championship will feature in San Antonio, Texas.
One of the governing bodies of snooker, the International Billiards & Snooker Federation, presents the World Junior Championships in Bengaluru, India. Adding to a busy Saturday, volleyball is the sport in Sofia at the World Volleyball Boys' U17 World Championship. The first of two full Ironman Triathlons over the weekend features in Estonia's Tallinn. The masters of canoe slalom will be in Poland's Krakow to compete in the World Championships. All the best clubs gather in Martin, a city in Slovakia, to compete in the Futnet Clubs World Cup. Kubb is the main event in Berlin at the World Mixed Masters. The big World Military Championship this week is Naval Pentathlon in Germany's Eckernförde. It's still the northern hemisphere summer season, and fans of grass skiing can look out for the next World Cup in Tambre, Italy. We then head to Belgium for the Beach Korfball World Cup in Temse. Spain's Toni Bou and Britain's Emma Bristow lead the standings of the FIM TrialGP World Championship. The penultimate round takes us to Cahors in France. We then move north where Gourdon is the location for the next stage of the Paragliding World Cup. The second major World Sailing competition is the International Micro Cupper Class World Championship at Bordeaux. Basque pelota is a unique sport mainly featuring in Spain. Pamplona hosts the XI World Under 22 Championship 36 Meter Fronton. Ages 16 to 21 showcase their boat angling skills near Ireland's Rathmullan in the World Championships Boat Angling Juniors. The only sled dog race World Cup this week takes us all the way to Villarrica in the southern parts of Chile
Sunday has three main events. We begin in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, where the next round of the FIM Motocross World Championship will take place. Llanwrtyd Wells in Wales hosts the annual World Bog Snorkelling Championship. Our third World Sailing event is the RS Aero World Championships in Hayling Island, England.
