Backgammon fans begin Monday with an online Team World Championship presented by the World Backgammon Internet Federation. The tournament lasts for the entire week. Östersund in Sweden hosts an important annual event for para athletes. The World Inclusive Para Skating Championships feature over two days. A sub-region of Great Porto in Portugal, the coastal city of Povoa de Varzim will be looking after a separate para sport, the World Boccia Cup, until the 16th July. 

From Tuesday Serbia's Belgrade becomes the home for finswimming experts. The first event is the 4th Finswimming World Masters Championship. Porpetto in Italy hosts the juniors at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup Shotgun. Gran Canaria is the perfect location for the next Global Wingsports Association Big-Air World Cup, part of the wingfoil world tour.

Our second finswimming event in Belgrade is the 23rd World Championships Finswimming Indoor beginning on Wednesday. Ulricehamn in Sweden brings out the best of casting sport at the the ICSF World Championships for Juniors, Under 18s and Under 23s. England's Stoke Mandeville becomes the home of the 1st World Abilitysport Guttman Games until the end of the week. We then cross the Atlantic to Canada's Prince Albert where softball is on show at the XVIII Men's Softball World Cup - Group B. The second multi-sport on Wednesday takes us further west to Alaska's Fairbanks. The World Eskimo-Indian Olympics 2024 feature over four days.

Sankt Peter-Ording is a popular German seaside spa and a municipality in the district of Nordfriesland. Thursday is that start of the 2024 Slalom Foil World Championship. Speed is of the essence in Edinburgh when the city entertains the World Orienteering Championships. Combining the sports of juggling and jogging, Green Bay in Wisconsin hosts the IJA World Joggling Championships

The second online event of the week is for experts of renju, a Japanese boardgame. The World Youth Renju Cup begins Friday and completes on Monday. Canoe Sprint is the discipline in Bulgaria's Plovdiv as the Masters compete in the International Canoe Federation World Championship. Two further multi-sport events also begin today. Debrecen and Miskolc in Hungary jointly host the European Universities Games 2024. The next stop of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship is in Gelnica, Slovakia. There are four major World Sailing competitions this week. Italy's Rimini hosts the Tornado Class World Championship. The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Tour next moves to Bellwald in Switzerland. Sport climbers will be tested in Lead and Speed in France's Chamonix at the International Federation of Sport Climbing World Cup. The next multi-sport event takes us to England's Stoke Mandeville. World Abilitysport presents the inaugural Guttman Games. Donington Park will light up over the weekend as the FIM Superbike World Championship moves in for the UK Round. Cleveland, Ohio, completes the final multi-sport events with the Pan-American Masters Games. The next generation of squash stars converge on Houston, Texas, for the World Squash Federation World Junior Championships.

The Waitarere Howler 1 & 2 is an annual dryland sled dog race held in New Zealand's Waitarere Forest. The International Federation of Sleddog Sports World Cup will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Poland's Ostrów Wielkopolski will be the base for the 13th FAI Junior World Gliding Championships. World Triathlon presents two major events. Para triathletes compete in Tata, Hungary, while the championship series features in Hamburg. The 62nd Vaurien World Championship in Slovakia's Liptovská Mara is the second major sailing event, followed by the Youth Sailing World Championships at the popular Lake Garda, Italy. The city mountain bike season reaches its climax with the UCI MTB Eliminator World Championships in Germany's Aalen. The FIM Trial World Championship stops in Comblain-au-Pont, located in the province of Liège in Belgium. We stay with motorcycling for two more major races in France. Marmande hosts the FIM Long Track World Championship, while GP7 of the FIM Sidecar Motocross World Championship features in Iffendic. The best pea shooters head to the village of Witcham in Cambridgeshire, England, for the 51st Peashooting World Championship. Winter Gardens in Blackpool hosts the Professional Darts Corporation World Matchplay. We close Saturday in Mexico's Leon and Iraputo where the women compete in the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup

We begin Sunday in Taipei City with a para sport. The World Deaf Youth Athletics Championships will feature over three days. The full Ironman triathlon race spends the day in Spain's Vitoria-Gasteiz. The final major sailing event is the Musto Skiff World Championship at England's Weymouth. The World Mountain Running Association present the next World Cup race in Castro Daire, Portugal. Six Hours of São Paulo is the next stage of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Finally, UNICON is an annual festival for unicycling experts. This year Bemidji in Minnesota hosts the 21st Unicycling World Convention and Championships.
