Again our week begins with major World Sailing competitions. Pori on the west coast of Finland hosts the H-Boat Class World Championship, while the RS Aero Class Youth World Championship heads to Marstrand, also on the west coast of Sweden. Joining the events on Monday is the FAI F2 World Championship for Control Line Model Aircraft in Muncie, Indiana, a popular location for air sports.
Our main event on Tuesday is for fans of the mind sport draughts. Xintai in China hosts a festival of several competitions, including a World Draughts Federation World Cup.
We are now at week 7 of the Esports World Cup that starts on Wednesday. It is the 10th edition of the Women's U18 Handball World Championship in China's Chuzhou. We remain in China where Fuzhou is the location for the II U18 Women's Softball World Cup Group B. The next generation of stars is the theme as Kazakhstan's Shchuchinsk becomes the focus of the FIS Roller Ski Junior World Cup. The day concludes in Sabero, Spain, where the seniors and masters converge for the ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships.
Townsville on the east coast of Australia hosts the big Ironman this week. Lacrosse fans descend on Hong Kong where the World Lacrosse Women's U20 World Championship will take place. The combat sport of sambo comes to Cholpon Ata in Kyrgyzstan for a World Cup event. Another form of combat sport is arm wrestling. Moldova's Chișinău showcases the world's best at the Open World Championships, which will also include separate World Championships for para-athletes and deaf athletes. Hungary's Csákberény brings clay pigeon shooting experts together at the 20th World Championship Baretta World Cup Final. We complete Thursday in Amsterdam where the masters compete in the World Squash Federation World Masters Championships.
Lithuania's port city of Klaipėda is the next stop of the UIM F2 World Championship, a premier powerboating competition. We have reached round 3 of the Orienteering World Cup Series at Hungary's Mór. It also includes the European Orienteering Championship. Spielberg in Austria's Red Bull Ring is the race track for the next round of the FIM MotoGP World Championship. Cadets compete in Venezuela's Caracas in the 4th International Military Sports Council Cadet Games 2024. We then cross the border to Colombia where the major Caribbean city of Barranquilla hosts the VI U15 Baseball World Cup.
This week we have three International Federation of Sleddog Sports World Cup races. Both dryland events, Saturday begins in New Zealand's Waiterere Forest and Australia's Passchendeale State Forest. Poland's Zamość serves as the base of the World Air Sports Federation World Aerobatic Championships. Kalmar in Sweden becomes the first of two full Ironman events. The Jules Tacheny Circuit in Belgium is the home of the World RX of Benelux 1 & 2, the next rounds of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The masters are in action in Paignton, England, at the following major Pilot Gig Rowing competition. Cardiff will showcase round 7 of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix. The final major multi-stage road cycling tour for the year takes us to Spain for La Vuelta Ciclista a España. The third dryland sled dog race features in Argentina's Córdoba. The world's best Under 17 girls head to Lima to compete in their Volleyball World Championship. Wiffle ball, similar to softball and baseball, will have their 45th World Championship in Crown Point, Indiana. We then move to the State of Texas to view the 38th FAI World Gliding Championships. Saturday completes in California where San Francisco hosts the third major World Sailing competition of the week. The Melges 24 World Championship runs until the following Saturday.
Sunday begins with two air sports events. The 3rd FAI World Air Navigation Race Championship features in Kamenica nad Cirochou, Slovakia. Across the border, Slovenia's Tolmin displays the inaugural FAI Junior World Paragliding Championships. We then cross the border again to Czechia where the best freestyle footballers gather for the Super Ball World Open in Liberec. The Under 23 windsurfers compete in the iQFOiL Class World Championships in Switzerland's Silvaplana. The Grand Prix of Germany at St. Wendell is round 5 of the FIM Supermoto World Championship. We remain in Germany where Scheeßel hosts the next stage of the FIM Long Track World Championship. Copenhagen is our second main Ironman over the weekend. The MXGP of The Netherlands is one of four remaining race weekends of the FIM Motocross World Championship. The season closes with the MXGP of Nations. The University of Limerick has been selected to host this year's World Wallball Championships, which also includes the Irish Nationals. The city of São Paulo will become alive with the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup. Ski marathoners have been waiting long for the next date on the Worldloppet Ski Federation calendar. We travel all the way to Ushuaia in southern Argentina for the 42km CT race. We close a busy Sunday in St. Catharines in Canada for the 2024 World Rowing Senior, U23, and U19 Championships.
