We begin Monday at the Landywood Snooker Club in Walsall, England, for the World Billiards Championship organised by the governing body World Billiards.
On Tuesday China's Sanming City opens the Finswimming World Cup Golden Pool Final. Loutraki in Greece will resume with major wrestling competitions as the Veterans gather for the World Championships in Freestyle and Greco-Roman. Klagenfurt, located on the eastern shore of Lake Wörthersee in Austria, hosts three important pool-billiard tournaments. The first is the World 8-Ball World Championship until Sunday.
The world's best amateur golfers head to the sunny climate of Abu Dhabi for the World Amateur Team Championships for Men that begins on Wednesday. With Oslo recently hosting a major show jumping event, it's the turn of the Helsinki International Horse Show. The second pool-billiard competition at Klagenfurt is the World Women's 10-Ball Championship. The Wingfoil World Cup Series moves to Sardinia's Cagliari for another round of the season. The artistic air sports discipline of Canopy Piloting moves to Eloy, Arizona, for the 11th FAI World Cup Canopy Piloting and the 2nd FAI World Cup of Freestyle Canopy Piloting.
The third major pool-billiard competition to join Klagenfurt is the World Junior Championship beginning on Thursday. We move to Liguria in the northwest of Italy for the Golden Trail World Series Final, a premier mountain running competition.
Philip Island near Melbourne is the next racing circuit for the FIM MotoGP World Championship that begins on Friday. Korfball, a sport with similarities to netball and basketball, has its World Championship in Taipei City, Taiwan. The 12th World Paragliding Accuracy Championship will this year be held in Sopot, Bulgaria. We are now at the third leg of the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup with Budapest hosting over the weekend. Italy's Chiari hosts the International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics World Cup Final. The first major winter sport competitions of the northern hemisphere heads to Chur in Switzerland. Freeski Big Air is the discipline of the FIS World Cup on Friday only. We have two IFSS Sled Dog World Cup races this week with the first in Svartbäcksmåla, Sweden. Roller sports fans head to Freiburg in Germany for the World Skate Figures World Cup. The speed skating season starts in Montréal with the ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating. The next major multi-sport event opens in Santiago, Chile. The Pan-American Games 2023 runs until 5 November. Round 19 of the FIA Formula One World Championship spends the weekend in Texas at the Circuit of the Americas.
Tokyo hosts the U15 Women's Softball World Cup that begins on Saturday. The World Triathlon Cup has the next big race in the port city of Tongyeong in South Korea. The last major university sport event moves to the city of Jinjang in China for the FISU University World Cup Football. Lithuania's capital city Vilnius hosts the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation World Fit Model Championship. The second FIS World Cup in Chur features Snowboard Big Air for one day only. Mountain bikers will be in Barcelona for the UCI E-MTB Cross-Country World Cup. Spain also hosts the World Triathlon Para Cup in Málaga. We then move across the Atlantic to Atlantic City in New Jersey for the International Slot Racing Association World Championships. Doty in Wisconsin hosts the second Sled Dog Racing World Cup of the week.
The Asian Para Games 2022 was postponed from last year. The multi-sport event opens in China's Hangzhou on Sunday. Veghel in the Netherlands hosts the World Cup 3-Cushion, the next major carom billiards competition. We complete the week's major sport events in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the 2023 World Shuffleboard Championships until the following Friday.
