The ice hockey season is coming to an end, but this week we still have four IIHF World Championships to look forward to. We in Sofia from Monday for the Men's Division II, Group B. 

The best archers head to Shanghai to compete in a World Archery Cup competition beginning on Tuesday. 

On Wednesday Budapest becomes the centre of attention for pentathletes as the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne presents the Pentathlon World Cup.

Orlando, Florida, a popular location for competitive cheerleading, will once again host the ICU Junior World and World Cheerleading Championships from Thursday. Real tennis comes to the Racket Club of Chicago for the World Championship Doubles 2024 . The Men's Under 18s are in Finland's Espoo and Vantaa to compete in their IIHF World Championship, the second and main ice hockey event of the week. Albania's Durrës hosts the future chess stars during the World Cadet Rapid & Blitz Championships.

Thailand's Pattaya Beach, a popular tourist destination, becomes the home of the World Beach Korfball Championship beginning on Friday. The International Blind Sports Federation presents the Paragames Rostock 2024 in Germany. We head to the southern suburbs of Paris where Évry-Courcouronnes hosts the World Championships of the popular sport Chase Tag. The second stage of the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup takes to the streets of Barcelona. The FIM MotoGP World Championship spends the weekend at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain. The next major sport of the International University Sports Federation is finswimming and Colombia's Pereira brings the best students together at the World University Championship. Virginia Tech in Blacksburg hosts the FAI F9A Drone Soccer Open International World Cup. The second cheerleading competition of the week takes us to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida for the Cheerleading Worlds and Dance Worlds

Saturday begins in China's Wuhan where the best future Standard Dance stars compete in the World DanceSport Federation U21 World Championship. The Men's Division I, Group B is our third IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Lithuania's Vilnius. Rock'n'Roll experts head to Zabrze in Poland for the WRRC World Cup. Czechia's Brno becomes the focus of attention for Minigolf Sport fans as we reach the World Adventure Golf Tour Final 2024. The FIM Speedway Grand Prix season opens in Croatia's Donji Kraljevec. The World Underwater Federation presents the World Cup Indoor Series in Athens, Greece. We then move across to the glitzy Monte-Carlo for Round 8 of the FIM Formula E World Championship. Shore angling is the sport in Spain's Cueta in the next CIPS World Championship for duos. Dog racing teams will be in Columbia's Cundinamarca for an IFSS Dryland World Cup race. Philadelphia becomes the next stop of the SuperMotocross World Championship as the season approaches Round 15. We close out the main events for Saturday with Round 5 and 6 of the UCI BMX Racing World Cup in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

We complete our week of the main sports events with the the fourth IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Italy's Bolzano hosts the Men's Division I, Group A.
